Hi there,

I have the following problem, i have a stupid iburst usb modem (no ethernet) and i need to share a connection to a laptop and a Ps3 through wifi. i have a wifi router, so if i connect the router to my pc (with the usb modem on) then share the connection onto the router, would i be able to get the iburst access through the wifi router??

i have tried obviously several changes in the settings, theorectically it should work but does it? all i come up with is an IP address conflict when trying to connect through the wifi!

do i need to get an ethernet router or should i just throw all this nonsense away!!

Try the following.

PC - Connect USB and share the iBurst connection.
Set the IP to 192.168.1.100 for your network
connection you are using to connect to the router
with.
Router - Set the IP to 192.168.1.1
Enable DMZ for IP 192.168.1.150
Primary DNS - 192.168.1.1
Secondary DNS - 196.30.31.193 (Gauteng areas)
196.46.70.1 (Cape areas)
If you are using WAP take note of the settings for
your PS3.
PS3 - Manualy set the IP to 192.168.1.150
Primary DNS - 192.168.1.1
Secondary DNS - 192.168.1.100

Lets hope it gateways out now.

If not, let me know. Have one last idea.

Cheers

Shaun
