To ANYONE playing online games over iBurst but mainly to the WoWers here ^^

My current latency right now is 3k ms on WoW (I'm in orgrimar doing nothing).
I'm useing iBurst and its been getting worse over the past year, no matter how many times I phone them or send emails they either don't reply or tell me that there is nothing wrong with my internet and even though i have high latencys the games are still "playable".

What I wanna know is if you are playing a game one day and all is fine but then your latency shoots up, sometimes you cant even connect to your game server never mind log in but on the chance that you are able to log in you can't do anything but stand in one spot because if you try raid you DC and get kicked from the raid group which gets you kicked from the leading PvE guild on the realm and then you are unable to PvP so your gear gets left outdated and **** as the game progresses so even if you do one day experience an ok latency you can't do anything you want to coz no one is interested in having a laggy lock with **** naxx 25 gear in a ulduar 25grp.

Would you consider the game being "playable"!?

Here is an email from iBurst:

"We would like to inform you that wee have users who are using iBurst for online gaming and we haven’t yet received any complaints about slow speeds and we are aware that the average latency for O.G’s (online games) should be 800ms which will be slow, however the game is “playable”. "

end quote.

So plsssss tell me any and all problems you have been having with your online games because as you can see iBurst does not accept that people are unhappy with their service, they deny that anything could be wrong and they tell me people don't complain.... so pls I beg you put your complaints up here so I can send it to iBurst in an email.

PS. If you know how to perform trace routes over your internet connection pls do some and save it then copy the results into your post, I did some traceroutes on my connection then sent them to iBurst but they never replied so I need as much data that I can get. Hopefully it will benefit us all.

I WANT ADSL!!!!! T_T

another PS. If you have sent complaints to iBurst for slow speeds please include that you have in your post, just so I can shove the email they sent me stating that no one complains about slow sppeds and high latencies up their lieing but holes.

Not sure were they come up with no complaints, what have we been spending this whole month doing :(. Totally incorrect facts from iBurst. My iBurst average was around 400 (350-450) for last year and a half, but now its 700-800 only this month. 700ms is horrible, 800ms is unplayable in 25-man raiding.

Just to add something so iBurst doesn't fling it at me again... My signal strength is not poor, i live atop a hill with a uni directional areal pointing at the base station, which is on a high rise building... my signal barely has to go though anyhting

Hm... We all spend $$$$$ on WoW and the iBurst connection to have a good time, having your internet DC for 2 hours in the middle of a boss fight in Ulduar is not what I call a good time, the way I see it is if iBurst is going to use false advertisements to sell their ineffective product and lie about how the product works then they should technically pay for time lost on the online games we pay for, I sense a law suit xD

To underline how bad it is, I asked my friend to log in and come to Dalaran to meet me, at the time my latency was over 3000ms and his, with a 512kb/s ADSL line was under 500ms.

Great news to finally get an ETA on a resolution, even if it's tentative it's better than wallowing in d/c raid hell.

Thank you Rustum for that excellent link!

I am quite surprised though that iBurst has not posted anything on this thread addressing the issue, we can see how *cough* lazy *cough* they are.

I'd like to quote something from the link that Rustum posted.

"Stop pushing this off as not being your problem. All iBurst does regarding this issue is blame everyone and constantly reinforce how it’s not their fault"

end quote.

That was well said, particularly the bit "All iBurst does regarding this issue is blame everyone" as that has happened to me on more than one occasion, where iBurst blames me, the customer on the slow connectivity I am getting from them... How in the hell can it be my fault that iBurst's connection is slow?

They are always saying things to you as if you are an idiot that does not understand how internet works, this irritates me to no end because they say things that are either not true or have nothing to do with the current problem. Their customer service is slack, their technicians are non-existent and we pay them truly unreasonable amounts of money for an internet connection that can't even stay connected for a full day (refer to their advertisements 24/7 internet... LIEZ!!!! ALL LIEZ! ... 'Lightning fast speed' um.. excuse me, when did lightning start moving in at the same speed as cheese?)

So, a note to iBurst please understand that you are NOT a good ISP, you do NOT understand how internet works, you DO lie, you DO overcharge and you have NO customer support what-so-ever.

dont even bother getting iburst if you want to play WoW. Cant even do a wsg(10v10) while capped without getting lag.And if you're a junkie like i am you'll hit that HUGE 3gig cap in about 10days of just playing(no porn, or browsing).

but w/e first company to offer a decent service and im jumping ship. Thank god for month-to-month

God its pathetic, the year 2009 and we still get caps and speeds of 7kb/sec. woohoo.

Shaun tries to do well, but the dam wall has burst now. And were getting angry. We need some proper ****ing action now.
