Yep well we all know you can hardly really game on Iburst... unless youve got a really nice connection or are playing Area 51 for some reason it works.. too bad its crap. But for everything else its still ok so if it suits you and you get a ok connection, think about getting Iburst!

yea my iburst downloads are just as spiky but range inbetween 80KB - 120KB and never EVER get disconnected. pings aren't too bad... but i think wireless will always look that way.

When i had sentech and it was super fast (in the old old days) it was just as spikey as iburst.

We might know it , but do thay . The raeson I am saying this is that Iburst was actively selling for gaming at Rage, and lying through their teeth saying that Iburst could be used for gaming.

wireless

the word is "spongy" like a sponge mattrass - kinda rubbery and stretches out and then pulls back in - thats why its up/down/up/down/up/down
kinda like s3xx but not as much fun.

adsl just flatlines at whatever speed your line is.

Like I said if you got a good connection or just play Warcraft (even that doesnt work for me) then you can just, but how many people on Iburst could play Battlefield 2? Maby local but pretty hard to do international.
Shure alot of local servers could work on Iburst, but for me not even War3 on reason server works!! I dont even have such a bad connection, but some games do just run for me so it really depends....

Fergus, i appreciate your graph. It sort of answers all my questions...

I've had iburst now for almost 2 months. I took it back the very first day after testing because the best signal i could get was one green light. They convinced me to try out their iBurst external antenna (an additional +-R400) and even said they were willing to extend the 7-day return guarantee with another 7 days. They also mentioned another tower coming up soon very close to our suburb the following week. The ext antenna improved the reception to an average of 2-3 green lights (4 at best times) and even had me happy for the time-being.

But after 2 months I accepted the fact that the iBurst connection is too slow and too unstable... Today, the connection was off permanently giving me a best connection of 1 green light for the whole day. I ordered the 1024 ADSL today...
