I don't think there is any coverage in Boksburg at all, maybe on the fringes from the Benoni tower. Not sure if I would switch from ADSL to iBurst if there was coverage.
I am just down the road in Freeway Park, and last time I checked there was no coverage.

It would help if the technicians knew where the towers were.

I called to find out where the Kya Sands tower was so that I could train our antenna on it and they did not know.

So at the moment we are still running off the cr@p awful Olivedale Tower.

^ lol. They probably arent in the same area though.. hard to know where all 50 towers are in JHB.

Why dont you go check it out on the coverage maps, you should be able to get a general direction and then you can tweak that with UTTracestar.

I have had a look at the coverage maps. They no longer show on them where the towers are located as they used to do so there is no way to know in which direction to turn the antenna.

Silly f@#kers:mad:

IBurst are being a pain with the towers. They treat the tower locations as stricly confidential and refuse to provide the tower names for the tower numbers.

It seems that they have become more paranoid with tower locations, do you think they caught a Sentech techie trying to blow them up? Or maybe a Sentech techie with a hard copy of "The Anarchists Cookbook" and some dope sitting next to a tower?

Stranger things have happened...

And still my sig can't get updated...
Even on their planned coverage map I am EXACTLY on the edge of coverage. Can you believe it?

It would help even more if they would publish the gps coordinates on their site. Then I can see how far the nearest tower is from me and whether or not I would be able to catch a signal on the roof or on a pole. Anybody know how their towers look?
