My local & international is hauling ass tonight ... on Kyalami tower. Anyone else getting above average performance?

my hyde park/rosebank/sandton is uber slow I could go faster in a 28k modem :(

I noticed this morning for the first time in a long time that I got speeds above 800kbps. Without moving anything.

hehe, i have also had pretty decent speeds, but not for long, cap is gonna cut in very soon. I am on Kyalami tower.

damn last nite my conncetion kept dc on me :( couldn't even play guild wars for more than 1 sec :(

Must be the thunder & lightning here in Centurion - I'm getting above average speeds, but unfortunately also a few disconnections....

Yes, 520kb or so on telkom speed test?? usually 800 or 950 ish, often around 300-500 during the day though, pretty bad.I dont really see why shurley not as many people use Iburst during the day, its not really used by businesses or is the problem that international bandwith from their uplink providers is worse during the day?

Businesses, yes on the mark today! As to international uplink hmm... considering its a local speed test ...

I meant the connection in general during the day, international test on testmy.net is even worse usually, like 300kb or less, bad!
I see others arent really having my problem, I think that was just a sporadic occurance anyway. (I shouldnt use all these big words and spell them wrong should I, takes away from the impact... i have an excuse)

I understand, performance does vary quite radically ... was just posting my speed for general info ... was getting 750-800kbps on international last night, which I'd never seen before ... hence the start of this thread.

my internet frog speeds are pretty dissapointing, 350kb then 240kb, upload sitting at 150 though! problem is that this is a real (browsing comparison) speed test; checking your pings as well, so iburst fails, especially for me! max pause 3047ms! RTT (round trip time) 608ms! no wonder i get kicked from every internet game i join... Telkom gets 1004kb for local, new record for me! first time over the 1000 mark, i think i'm gonna go download someting 4 fun
