Hi all

Does anybody have experience with Iburst in the Highveld area in Centurion? I have a few more months to go with MTN, and although speeds have improved lately- I am getting HSPDA all the time now, their billing system seems to have been designed to drive you into madness and bankruptcy and Iburst's 3gig packages are beginning to look competative. The coverage map says that I can expect 'fair coverage' but apparently I am just a block away from 'best', so maybe,,,
Any advice from anybody?

I know Eldoraigne is a few kms from Highveld, but my signal is good. I would advise you to ask an iBurst reseller to do a signal / speed check at your place.

Hi NWO

We have WiMAX coverage in the Highveld Centurion area so if you PM your contact details I will get a techie to do a signal test at your place to let you know what speed and latency you can expect.

Regards

iBurst has a base station in Highveld Technopark. It's on the red&white tower at the corner of John Vorster & Oak streets.

@Shaun, when is the base station going up in Eldoraigne? An antenna grid has been on the roof of the church for quite a while now.

Do you guys have coverage in Alberton? Me tired of iBurst.

Hi all

Construction of BTS at Eldoraigne is awaiting permission.

As soon as the network guys get clearance it should take a week.

Cheers

Shaun

Thanks for the feedback swoosh, D and Howzit, its much appreciated.

Shaun, I see the aerial has been removed from the church at Eldoraigne. Does this mean that they won't be putting up a tower there?

Hi all

Permits seem to be the issue here. Once we have all the permits in place we will return to site to complete the installation. We are expecting all approvals by end of August 2009.

Cheers

Shaun
