Hi there,
Just wanted to let you know that after more than 2 years with iWorst , I'm finally going to have a launch party.
What kind of launch party, you might think.
Well I'm going to take the iWorst modem I bought, and mount to a amateur rocket and launch it out of my life as I'll smile and give me money to Telkom instead.
Imagine your clients GLADLY wanting to deal with Telkom rather than your company. My god. How crap must your services be then. God forbid I would try to sell the modem, I would not wish that kind of pain on my worst enemy.
I've finally caved in and ordered ADSL for internet, since iWorst is incapable of providing any kind of stable Internet service. In the 2 years that I've used iWorst, I've been less than 2km away from a tower and I still had to pay iWorst technicians to come install additional antennae to get a signal better than dismal. I've never had the "promised" "Broadband" Internet experience used so abundantly in your advertising campaigns.
Yes, I know, the speed test on your website shows that it's SUPER fast, well yes it's between your network and the modem in my house, of course it's fast, it's the rest of the internet thats slow. I can see why you host your company website on another ISP's network. Your network is obviously so slow you could not dare host it yourself.
Calling your Customer Service Department is an adventure into Sanity management. I'm amazed more mass murders has not happened due to the incompetence induced madness of having to deal with iWorst Support Department.
Every time I have called due to network problems, or the disappearance of a working network, I get told there is no known problem in my area, and then during diagnostics of the problem I get told it's my set-up, thats been working, (when the network is up and running) for the last 2 years, that is the problem and I must check the settings again, or worse, switch to their cruddy software to manage my connection and rape my utilization just to charge me extra for the usage.
I will swiftly glance over the wonderful experience of being blamed for using the FULL traffic in less than 2 days while being on-site doing contract work. Come to think of it, I never receiving the traffic audit I requested. Funny enough, my traffic monitoring system never showed any traffic usage on the connection for the same period. This was also not an isolated experience.
Frankly speaking I should not really blame just iWorst, The whole internet industry is to blame for the total lack of decent internet connectivity in South Africa. But instead of fighting for consumers, ISP's are gladly pocketing the profits of their below standard services and placating the Department of Communication out of fear of retaliation. Good to know the industry is in such greedy hands. No wonder the world is waiting in anticipation to see "That stupid little African country" fail at hosting the biggest sporting event on the planet.
We can hardly provide stable almost-broadband internet for local users, how are we going to provide internet the rest of the world will recognize as broadband.
Anyway. I'd invite you if I thought anybody would actually come. Then again I don't really want you to have any of the cake.
It's been swell, but the swelling has gone down.
Your favorite iWorst user.
