Iburst finally admit there is a problem - disconnects

Yip, iBurps going down the tubes....

Feel so sorry for those who are forced to use this tripe.

They've defnitely made some sort of network change, they've attacked p2p with an even harder gun now.
 
not too worried abt p2p or gaming. as long as I can connect to the net and have good and stable ftp speeds i'm happy. I told the Iburst dude on Wed that this is affecting business delivery, still hasn't got back to me...
 
well I forgot to add that my connection was also affected by this nonsense.... I've got ADSL now so I have no worries anymore.

those with the UTD, can u guys connect via the Ethernet connection? Mine doesnt seem to be working since Sat...maybe both my cables are stuffed...???

Yip I am wondering too, that's why I am browsing this topic from time to time. That will likely be the next step, they'll shape FTP downloads, and leave the upload direction intact to allow those with websites to upload files.

In the past they shaped (and throttled when cap was reached) only the download direction. Nowadays they shape both directions, and they selectively block ports when they detect the port is carrying traffic from eMule, bittorrent, and possibly others. The port becomes blocked 15-30 seconds after detection.

you know this really hacks me. they cant call it internet connectivity if they are going to tell you what you cant and cannot do.

they should call it "Internet dictatorship. You browse, we'll say what"

take your time in counting those chicks, I've used iBurst for more than a few years now and the longest stretch of issue free connectivity has been close to three months...

The past month's service was one of it's worst!

Doesn't say much for the company operating this technology...
 
ok havent had a dc since 1am this morning. speeds are good...
 
I live in the bermuda triangle of telecommunications in Pretoria. So I use to have iBurst mostly used for playing WoW. I've been trying for a year now to get ANY other service up and running at my place but with no luck and I was actually considering trying iBurst again. Until I read that you all get the same issues that made me quit them.

When it comes to internet I well and truly hate this damned 3rd world country. I still find it amazing that iBurst can say with a straight face that they offer a good service.
