... you know how you feel when you've had a big meal ? Iburst :(

Anyway, people seem to have this thing with iBurst. I admit that they do have their downside, but it's still cheaper to use them than Vodacom's 3G, it's of reasonable speed... I have 50% signal strength at the moment and my latency to a server in JHB is 403ms... it's not that bad, especially when you consider it's a wireless connection.

If the signal is bad, get an extension antenna... I'm happy with iBurst.

:)

Besides... iBurst will die soon... the technology isn't really built to be expanded upon (unless you use multiple modems) and 3G has already overtaken it by 7 times overseas and 3.6 times here. 3G will become cheaper and iBurst will become like pagers, a thing of the past.

Works well now though.

I went to Vodacom to get iBurst. Had cash for the modem. They checked coverage in the Table View area. I was told coverage is poor so they can't sell me a modem. An hour later I phone iBurst. I can fill in an online application, do credit check, modem will be delivered with 48 hours. Now I am confused! and I don't know what else. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE. I go back to VC buy a modem with 3G and HSDPA 3.6 and bamm! I'm connected. No credit checks, no forms to fill in, no problem. I got coverage!

vodacom was doing you a favour not letting you signup for a **** service with little or no coverage... pity you didn't take their warning

What is Thami Mtshali's cell number? I need to speak to him directly since his monkey staff can't resolve simple accounting issues.
