iburst has bad speeds and support - DO NOT PURCHASE IT!!!

it happened with sentech so no reason why not with iburst ;)

In all seriousness I really really needed the net this week cuz i literally finding out life n death kind of information on the net and the slowness is killing me (no pun intended)

So I do apologise for all the negative threads and i will end it here.
 
Have you complained to Iburst yet? They will send out a techy, he should be able to sort something out right??

But thanks for the end of the negative stuff. I would be pissed too in your situation.

Too bad you wont be able to get any connectivity by this weekend besides your Iburst, maby try and make things work before then?
 
if this halicon dude is upset, then he should not create the same threads all the time, he rather go back to std gprs 9600 kbps , :)

You've missed the point numerous times here. Why pay for a service that's not delivering? Halicon is not the only dude upset, many of us are. We are paying a hell of a lot of money for a product that is not up to international standards. iBurst is not only in South Africa, it's in Australia as well and they are not experiencing the same issues as we are having, while at the same time paying much less for the service. You make your living from selling the product (well, I'm sure part of your living anyway), so it is in your best interest to portray iBurst as the most fantastic product ever.

And if you want to be a reseller, maybe you should actually make an effort with potential clients.

halicon has the right to post his vents and anger. And from what I can see, this is a fair warning to potential clients, from his point of view. Some of us agree with that some of the time, and other times we don't.

halicon, I hope things 'shape up' ;) on that side!
 
Well, I've been with iBurst and all its ups & downs for almost two years, and I think things ARE improving (overall). Yes, some still have serious issues, but in general, with the roll-out of all the new towers, things are definitely looking up. At work, I used to be content with <30k speeds & <60k with an antenna. Since yesterday, things are just flying - nothing under 100k (without antenna). I'm actually feeling quite dizzy looking at the bytes flying down this fast!
 
You might have got connected to a new tower in your area. Tons are going up in JHB right now, so its quite likely.

I also believ/hope that htings are improving, it seems that way.

Oh and JusTin, I think Fantastic is so quiet becusae of that thread about his service...

iburst may have gotten better but they still suck well mine does. i live 500 m away from EKHAATVENSTERS and i get 50% of his speeds on my lucky day.
 
Hey quinn.. just wait for the new tower in constantia to come up. Then you'l be closer than me plus we will be in a dark green area on the map. So we shouldnt even need antenna's, but we'll have them anywayz so it should be sick.

But look at Justin, hes also in bergvliet and his speeds kick both of ours. It depends on position if your already far from the tower.

I havent been able to use UTTracestar. It just crashes on my PC as it starts!

What's the error message? Something about tower.ini?
