Just got a call from iBurst, about some outstanding ±R1200 on my account ... are they in **** that they are trying to extort money from their subscribers? Needless to say it is a monthly debit order

Can anyone remember what the modems cost in March 2005? :D

Oh, and also, was there an initial activation fee way back when?

Oh there was an activation fee.. I paid it, and they're charging an activation fee once again

Have you been checking to make sure the debit order are going through? They are very bad at doing that and at the end of the day, unfortunately it's up to you to make sure you're paying them.

You guys see anything funny here:

Code:
2005/03/03	Activation Fee+Pro-rata	655.03
2005/03/29	March subscription	599.00

and here:

2005/06/29	Payment thank you 599.00
2005/06/30	Payment thank you	599.00

Didnt know Iburst were in to banking too! :-P

They should be trading as "Ad-hoc debit orders are us"

Thats from the "Recon" iBurst sent me ... Recon my ass ... you will not believe what these monkeys get up to to get you to fork out more money. Waiting for my banker to send me the actual figures ... then I'll show them how to cook a recon :D

From this last "burst" of false invoices it sure does look like they trying to balance their books by ripping off old customers.

I have news for them and that is I will reject and reverse any debit order I receive from now on, and as far as I'm concerned they can do what they like they are not getting any more money out of me.

I bet they planning on charging me for this month since I'm still receiving email band width reports which indicates that my user name is still active.

Well mr. green we know you read these forums so go tell accounts to take a hike and if it comes to it I'll see them in court.

I'm still waiting for a refund of R149 for extra bandwidth the technical department charged me to fix their CAP of death... it's been 10 months... all I ever received was a credit note!
