Iburst - LAN internet sharing problem -- HELP

You'll probably find that the issues you are having with ICS is due to the fact that iBurst needs the MTU tweak to work nicely. The Windows IP stack is a USELESS in its routing functions. ICS would have no ability to do the 'iptables mangle' and the other magic that make it so easy under linux or a linux based router like the Linksys WRT54GL :D

You can use ICS. The IP address on the desktop will then be 192.168.0.1. Try setting the IP address of the laptop to 192.168.0.4 (say), but you must specify 192.168.0.1 as both the Gateway and the DNS Server in your TCPIP settings on the laptop. That should do it.

Guys, this has worked. Simple. Thanks PeterE and everyone else for all your help. Much appreciated.
