Ok, so my telskum lines have been stolen, and I've been without internet for 3 weeks with no hope of getting my lines back.

I've asked for telskum WiMAX, but I'm unfortunatly like 300 meters outside the footprint (typical). I've called neotel, but it's going to be at least 2 months before I'm covered. I'm using HSDPA now, but its so expensive and having to purchace a new sim card every time my bandwith runs out it starting to annoy me.

So I've turned my attention to iBurst, but as my connectivity options may change in the near future I'm not about to sign a contract or pay R 1820 for a modem. So, where can I find a used or really cheap iBurst modem, or any modem capable of connecting to iBurst?

Thanks. :D

I have one for sale, for R500, PM me

Hope you do realize that their singularly inept accounts department leaves much to be desired? Do insist on month-to-month, and DO NOT use a debit order.

In many cases they will refuse to accept any other payment method except debit order. They did that to me.

@dgcarter: The person who built that aerial is actually using the Neotel service in Boksburg which is also a considerable distance from the closest tower - take a look on a map to compare the distance with your location. He also appears to be getting good speeds. I think he used his work address which is in the coverage area as his location in order to subscribe to the service. In your case you would need to test the service thoroughly at your location with an aerial before making any decision.
