iBurst recently announced that they will only offer extra bandwidth to contract users. Why only contract users? Month 2 Month users paid for their equipment up front and subscribe every month. Why get penalized for this? Well, one or two users cancelling or complaining won't make much of a difference but a combined voice is a louder one.

Why not stand together and speak as one? It's simple, the longer the list grows, the more bargaing power we have. Month 2 Month clients should be valued the same as contract users and should be given the same benefits as other clients.

Let's see what they'll do if its about a lot more money than just a handful of clients' monthly subscriptions

Add my name to the list. I am already looking around for something that is worth it. Ofter being with iBurst since they've started on a 3Gig Month-to-Month, I did not expect them to count us out. Never behind on my account, still struggling with bad signal in my area, had 3 technicians out here plus a technicians that test the tower and said that it is overloaded, had a promise from Ed that filler towers will be added in this area in 3 month, [now month 4 and nothing happened. Sorry this sucks big deal.

Hehe, I am also looking to cancel. Besides being insulted by the 500MB thing, I have been having major issues getting access to a server that is hosted on an ADSL line. It works via everything other than iburst. So will look around in the near future, and will see what happens...

i signed up for Telkom Closer 4 today, and was quiet impressed. no installation fees (self install) + free wifi moden router + no contract + can buy bandwidth from anywhere i choose.

i have my cancellation letter all typed up for iburst, but i think i may wait until my ADSL line is installed before canceling.

the thing is i can't believe i'm actually moving to telkom.
I'm sure iburst could have tried a bit harder, oh well - too late now.

This will be my second iBurst cancellation. The first time (I signed up December 2004) they could not deliver the speeds promised in my area. I've since moved, and the speeds are okay-ish (about 300 kbps during the day). Now, not only am I effectively getting the speeds of Telkom's lowest offering, but I am also not being given the measly 500MB bandwith as I am on a month-to-month contract. And the bandwith monitor is not working properly - instead of my approx 1 GB carry over, I got a 200 MB because I did not disconnect the modem at midnight!
I will cancel iBurst as soon as I get my ADSL.

I still can't believe why people with M2M contracts make such a big fuss about this. I'm sure that iBurst will provide other benefits in the future for you guys. For now, give them a break. It's a great way for them to get more contract subscribers. :)

GBM, they had plenty of "breaks" and looks like they blew it with quite a few customers.:(

Something good might come out of this experience IF the iBurst team learn't by their recent mistakes, and I think it's about time for one of their team to make an appearnce here to let us know what their intentions are in regards to new package offerings that INCLUDE ALL customers.

blue lable contacts

Blue Lable Investments are a share holder of Iburst - lets look at BlI companies and contact details. PM me if you want the BlI contancts:eek:

Iburst have had ample opertunity to get themselves sorted out. Infact, they've had 2 years to get themselves sorted out. and in 2 years, all they could come up with was this? A 500mb cap increase for its long term contract sunscibers? and a usage carry over to the following month.

At this point in time at the rate Iburst is going, I'm counting the days that Iburst goes Ibust

Blue Lable have also invested in Telkom. They are also behind Cellfind etc. Starts to make interesting reading.......
