iBurst Month 2 Month Contracts

xmasbunny you must have been on the contract package and got downgraded when your contract expired... but if things stay the same 3-6 months down the line you'll prob lose that extra 512mb

Nope, I've bought the hardware from the outset and have only been a month2month subscriber with iBurst. This is probably yet another one of their admin stuff ups which I hope they don't realise...

Telkom SIO:
Micro filter = R32,00
Monthly (512 ADSL ~ 2 x my current speed  ) =R362.00

Now I am looking at an ISP:
Openweb for 3GB = R209.00
OpenBrowse = R269.00

or

Axxess 3GB ADSL Now! = R 209.00 (other cheaper opts available ..)

Additional bandwidth available at half the price (I normally end up buying an extra 1 - 2 GB)
Static DNS
etc etc

Considering I refused to do a contact, iBurst's latest little stunt made me look. At least in that sense, thank you iBurst. ;)

Sorry guys, I will be saying cheers to the iBurst community in about 2-3 weeks

Already ardered my dsl line. Being installed 11 April (according to telkom). Thereafter its bye bye iBurst.

Me too, scary thing about this is that IBurst is not paying attention. At least with Ed you would get some feedback and you knew he was discussing these comments with the guys at IBurst.

Since he left there has been nothing but silence. Ignore your customers and you will go the way of Sentech no matter how much you slam the Wisps.

If EHV is talking about leaving then you know somethings up.

Most definitely is.. and nothing good.

Another thing that is up though, are Telkoms plans to up 384 DSL to 512 once they make 4mb official. Sounds great, I was worried about 384 not being quite enough speed.

We all know that someone from iBurst is reading these threads, and the dummies don't seem to realize that by ignoring the posts they are making themselves look worse.

Their motto seems to be "ignore the users long enough and all will be fine"

I've got news for them and that is they've never lost so many customers in such a short time as they are now, besides making iBurst support look even worse than ever before.

At least with Ed he at least got involved and tried to help......even though not much came out of his efforts I doubt that was his fault.

They are going to have to pull their heads out of their butts or they WILL be joining sentech sooner than they think.

at the rate iBurst is going now, 384 will be more than enough.

Test 08:46 2007

iBurst speed from Illovo BS. 8m mast + Yagi
538/183kbps

ADSL
3.48Mbps/321kbps

:D :D

The speed from Illovo is better than it used to be at this time of day. Perhaps there are now less subscribers?
