I have been experiencing problems connecting to the network today from about 9:30am onwards...its now 12:35 and still the same - It says network busy can't connect. I have got 100% signal. Anybody else experiencing the same...I hope its just me.

Ignore - was able to connect at 12:46 again.

OT : I am very impressed with the quality of this service so far - just hope there network can carry the heavy load when they launch.

I've also had problems today, in my case it has been exactly what I posted in:

I was told by Tshepo this morning that all basestations were up and running without any problems, so I'm still chalking it up to there will be problems during pre-launch. The main thing is my connection is back up and Speedy Gonzales has not left the building!

hehe, I'm surprised Speedy Gonzales is still alive after all the downloading I did this weekend. It is SO awesome to have something come down at 118KBps! I'm thouroughly impressed by WBS!

There were one or two slowdowns during the weekend, but that could just be maintenance related and it didn't last for longer than 30 minutes. I could still surf, it was just a bit Sentech-ish... er... I mean sluggish... wait... same thing! [:P]

I'm a happy camper! [:)]

No issues here either, been running for about 12 hours.

Last night I was running a webcam, some picture sharing software ( Hello! ) and Skype, all at the same time, chatting to a friend in the Philippines. No slowdown at all. I am impressed.

I downloaded a file from downloads.com (using their secure download app) at 388KBps this morning!!! it was freakin' amazing!

There was some sort of radio interference on the Rosebank and northcliff towers during yesterday ... it made my connection impossible ... seems better now ....

We are aware of critically degraded performance on certain base stations, namely Rosebank, Northcliff and Soweto. Sincerest apologies - they are receiving urgent attention and will be resolved shortly.

When you find out why the degradation, tell us too...

Louis told me something about radio-bliepedy bloop

I was just amazed that they actually called me back...

and? is it fixed? i didn't really notice anything going haywire on my connection last night... or is this notice meant for today?

I connect to Northcliff... I think...

The problem appears to have been isolated to certain incompatible equipment on some base stations, including Sunny Park, Wonderboom, Primrose and Kempton Park. These will be swapped out over the next couple of days. Rosebank and Northcliff will be addressed first due to impact of these base stations on current user base. Again, apologies for the degraded service.

Heh? "...incompatible equipment... "?!! That worries me! Deviation from a pre-approved equipment list from iBurst, if one indeed exists? Stress and bench testing done prior to deployment? Specs conformant? And so on...

Decided to get iBurst yesterday. Problem is I can't connect. I keep getting a 'Connection failed because the username/password is not valid for the domain' error.
I spoke to someone at helpdesk & he told me they were doing maintenance on the Bedfordview tower.

Anyone with more info?

rebel, what OS are you using[?] It sounds like you have Include Windows logon domain enabled.
