I've had constant trouble with iBurst from the start, I've only been with them for three weeks (from the 1st of December). They've botched my account setup twice so I'm now on my third username, I've had issues with connecting, or logging on, the service being unavailable, at least a couple times a week.
The cost of my cellphone calls to customer service far exceeds my monthly iBurst cost of R198, I've been put on hold, transferred between departments passing the buck and all this with the problem often remaining.
Most of the time they'll simply have a prerecorded message playing, something along the lines of 'we are aware that customers are experiencing problems etc etc' how does this help me? My internet still does not work, my cellphone bill is still high. My latest is being capped way before my limit is reached, then the techie advising me to buy more bandwidth. I've already bought bandwidth and they've capped me prematurely. Logging onto the website doesn't help either, it shows my usage (way under the cap) but remaining balance are all just blank.
There is clearly a lot wrong with their system, I'm guessing its to do with financial difficulty and maintenance. Anyway, my advice is don't go near a ship thats sinking. I'm applying for my adsl line in Jan.
