Iburst overcharged me!!!

Hi, guys
On the 31st October, Iburst has charged me twice the same amount, since today is saturday, their finance department was closed already!!!
Has anybody faced a situation like this? what did u do? Did they refund you?

With regards to some of the specific issues raised on this site recently, the comments about our accounts / retentions department are, we believe, rooted in the past as iBurst did have issues with our billing and other internal systems but these have been resolved after a thorough internal audit.

A week after the Informational Posting was posted...

Dude this is a common problem. Call the accounts department on Monday and you should get it sorted out.

If not escalate it and call up Sean Green - he'll sort you out...

Same here, billed twice and frankly not amused:mad:. Contacted their helpdesk at 09h00 this morning and they say refunds are "being processed", whatever that means.

This is so common that one has to presume that this is how iBurst likes to run their business. Unfortunately, you're out of luck if you actually want it resolved. There are plenty of reports of this sort of thing going on for months with iBurst (including my first-hand experience).

Perhaps you should take the opportunity to rid yourself of these guys. There are several better alternatives out there, and it's not even as if their prices compare favourably any more.

Did they ever refund me? No, I just stopped paying permanently, and we're even now. Anyone for a plastic doorstop?
 
Also got billed twice. Will phone them on Monday. Not a happy camper.
 
Got billed twice as well yesterday. Its going to be fun and games tomorrow.
 
Quit your account with them and get iBurst via a reseller.

I agree, I am with iBust via @lantic and have no account problems....so far, that will however not protect you against iBust's horrific service from a technical side. I was hoping that I will only have to stay on iBurst until NOTEL get's their act together, but as yet I have NO TEL, so I'm looking to ADSL with Telscum, I can not believe that in this day and age, that that is our options, to choose between only a handful of totally inept providers, with poor old NOTEL lagging so far behind even iBust beats them in the connectivity race....perhaps now that VANS can self provide, something better will pop up, but I am not holding my breath...:(

You're right but it will avoid the incompetence and malice of iBurts' accounting department. :) The issue of when Neotel gets here, is
one beyond the scope of this discussion, this forum or even the whole
internet. Not even Nostradamus can foretell that one.

So true, it just feels like I've been waiting from the dawn of time. Why do they taunt us so?:(
 
Wow!

Can't believe so many people got charged double. Someone last week called me from the acc depart asking me why my debit order ( :eek: ) didn't go through with them. My bank kept on rejecting it for some reason! lol.. So I had to do an EFT. So there DEFINITELY is something wrong at the accounts depart, yet AGAIN!

We do apologize for the inconvenienced caused, we have picked up the
problem and our accounts team have already reversed the charges for
double debits on Friday and the issue should be resolved by Monday as
most clients are not directly banking with Nedbank.

What really pisses me off, is that as yet, they haven't even bothered to send out a generic email apologising for their error.
 
Phoned them this morning and was told that the double charge was reversed already and I should see it before the end of today. I am just glad I had enough extra moola in my account to cover the double charge. Otherwise all my other debit orders would have failed. Still very unprofessional off them.
