Hey guys,

I've contacted iburst today cos i had yet another problem with the network dropping.

First there was no connection yet the lights on the modem showed green for signal. Then i was able to access local sites... long story short, it came right on its own again.

I was curious so i asked the tech support guy if i could go back to my old 1gig package with my throttle service because if iburst does keep me on this wireless 2 package i am gonna go with telkom.

I then explained to him how it varied from the R198 they charge us to the R258 telkom charges and how i get more with telkom. I also explained that i was getting another person onto iburst till this new rip off packages came about and decided against it... Oh and since i have an IT company my clients will no longer be with iburst either if this new packages stick :D

So he is now gonna get the retentions department to contact me.

If it all works out.... You may even find me staying with iburst.

Hi Roland,

I am still awaiting a call from Jannie or anyone at else at iburst who can assist. Unfortunately this is the situation we all face all the time and get this very same response.

NB: I have sent you a pm with all my details last week.

Nothing new there I'm afraid.

i was hoping it would be different this time Gekco

The throttled service is still available till the end of February, communication will be sent out before this date for the way forward.
At the moment you can enjoy the 2Gigs and the throttled service.

You can contact me via email at [email protected]

In all fairness, I will be stuck with iburst for one more month should the old package with the throttled service not be allowed.

Should we be forced to stay on the Capped 2 gig package then im sure most of us would like to give the one months notice at the end of this month.

I asked the iBurst Rep to help me with a Migration.

I wanted to migrate from 5GB - 2GB / Month. I was told that someone would call me but nobody did. They say that someone did try but I was not at my office. It turns out I was migrated anyway.

They migrated me from 5GB - 2GB as I was given 2GB the beginning of this month but I was still charged for 5GB which is R 449. Lets see how long it takes for a refund.

Was just called back in 4 minutes (quite stunned actually) telling me I will be refunded.

:)

I was also very shocked. I also asked her how long is the call centre going to be down for & she said they they have completed the move to Durban & that the lines are now working correctly.
