Well Iburst have finally done it. Every broadband company offers more bandwidth for less as time goes by but iburst comes along and offers even less bandwidth for a great saving of R1.00 cheaper.

Im sure we all were satisfied with the 1gig cap we had and there after being throttled to 64kbps (for those that were on the giga package).

The area i live in is said to have bare minimum signal for iburst wireless. I didn't care much about the slow speed during my 1gig cap and even slower speed after the cap was used because the 64kbps throttle still allowed me to visit international sites.... until now.

I now should be appreciative of the 1 whole extra gig iburst gives me for a bank breaking saving of R1.00 (1ZAR). Now once my cap is finished so am I... and i get to do all of this with speeds of less than 64kbps anyway.

Nice one Iburst... you have just lost 2 accounts as a start... and btw I have an IT company and used to promote your services.... which will no longer take place

Should anyone be interested in purchasing used iburst wireless desktop modems (in very good condition) please let me know. I have two for a start.... as soon as i move my clients onto new broadband providers more will become available. pm me should you require.

I agree.. The new prices don't workout so lekka for people with low-usage (1GB, 2GB) packages, and who rely on 64K throttled uncapped service.

But for the rest of us who don't want dial-up speeds (64K), these prices are a welcome relief, and compare favourable with ADSL. Just try to get an equivalent 1GB package with ADSL and you will find it is quite a bit more expensive when you take into account compulsory voice line rental and ADSL access fee.

C'mon. Its 2009. We're almost 1 decade through the new millenium (less than a month left), and people are still crying for 64K speeds which we could way back in 1992 already?!?! That's why we get crap, because we don't demand better, and are happy with shyte from everybody.

As ToxicWazte said, iBurst really hurt the guys on low usage plans and then rely on the 64kbs for connectivety for the rest of the month. You do get much more data (bandwidth...I shall now start using the correct term) for your buck, but if you used to use 18GB a month on the low package...you are now going to pay a lot more to get that same 18GB.

In all honesty i never got up to 5gigs a month let alone 18 Trixanno. Fact of the matter is that it really puts a tight restriction on the way i use the internet. I would rather go with telkoms do broadband package 2 now..... seeing that i get 3 gigs of bandwidth for international and 20gigs local for gaming.... not a bad solution for R258pm.

Have you been able to verify what iBurst says your noe bundle is? Still not able to verify the bandwidth allocation or ueage!
