Unfortunately the truth of iBurst and its iCall offering is that the operator has been sold an end to end solution by CISCO/LINKSYS,the training that the tech staff and the information the staff have recieved is not full and comprehensive.
If you have another manufactures SIP phone forget help from iBurst.
The SIP phone is dependent on a Router ,iBurst is selling a Combo wireless /SIP phone ready router, and a LINKSYS companion phone.
What iburst needs to share is the router configurations so that any SIP phone can be set up.The Tech Staff can not see that the two go together and dealing with one in isolation does not help with the set up.
The softphone software that iBurst deploys, does not come with instructions, and the staff cannot help with the set up here either.
Bored with flowery media coming from iBurst.
This is a case of client been over serviced by a supplier, creating expectations, that the customer has to pay for during the learning curve.
If you are prepared to fork out for the combination of the two products +_ R2500. plus the to cannabilise your own data diet for R50 a month X 12 and R100-R200 talk time vouchers,go right ahead.
There is no perceived consumer value in this product, except to use it as a expensive Vote against TELKOM.
