iBurst reduces migration fee

Why is everyone so outraged when iBurst does the same? I mean don't they have admin costs to cover to migrate people?
Something like an admin cost for pushing a button on their computer screen which will invoke a global update of all their customer's basic monthly charge?

Well, R99 is better than R199. But is the amount of effort for something that can happen automatically worth the same admin fee as to set up a new account?

Also, Will I be paying this every time iburst decide to change their pricing, something that normally happen on a yearly base. If they decide to increase their prices maybe due to bollox like fuel and food, would it have any merit if I charged them a admin fee?

My big protest is however the fact that I had to learn about the new package on mybroadband. the fine print I only learned when I phoned the call centre. They never formally discussed the fact that there were new possibilities, hoping the loyal customers would be happy paying more for less, and luring the potential customer with with new pricing. Then charging all current customer for the change that they are obvious to make, well that's a great cash injection that can be used for things like bonuses etc.. Makes me sick.

If it makes you sick, then order and ADSL line and cancel your iburst account telling them that their dodgy business practices are the reason you're canceling

This is just crazy, the package I'm on doesn't even exist anymore. There is no listing for a R699 contract that gives me a 3 gig cap (and a free modem). Since they've withdrawn this product I assume they'll either be canceling my existing contract or moving me to a similar product. If they say they haven't withdrawn the product, they've just changed the pricing, then by all means, charge me the new pricing.

I'm also seriously disappointed that they did not send me any communication regarding these changes, and that's exactly what I'm going to tell them when I cancel. I've found that iBurst continually changes the conditions of their contracts (like this and the conditions for terminating a contract) without any regard for their customers (let alone any communication). At this point for me I'd rather end any dealings with this company as even if they decrease their prices by 50%-100% I would be skeptical with signing anything with them as this could change at any point, to anything, in the future.

These cretins don't seem to understand that without their existing subscribers they would be nowhere.

So, they are thanking us by asking us to bend over and spreading the love....
