iBurst Rolling Out Two Base Stations Every Week

Alan Knott-Craig Jnr, the son, is MD of WBS. Alan Knott-Craig Snr, the father, is CEO of Vodacom.

So what, 3 new base stations a week which will just increase their already extremely insufficent bandwidth requirement. *kof* over selling *kof*

is it just me or is does something seem abit off here? how are these two companies supposed to compete effectively if they are basically run by the same family? next we'll be hearing that vodacom purchases a major share in wbs, afterall jnr wouldn't put up a fight against snr if snr increases jnr's allowance by a few million

Hi folks

WBS has contacted me and asked me to urgently change the initial statement of three base stations (given in their press release) to two base stations. Will try to get some additional information from them tomorrow about where the mistake from their side slipped in.

Regards,

RPM

Shouldn't WBS rather invest heavily in WiMax? According to Brody from Canada, it can be done in 3 weeks in SA:

Why would they? That would mean breaking the "do as little as possible for as much as possible reward" mould, and it could potentialy actually help the country advance into the present. ;) We would'nt want that now, would we...

Can we have some in the eastern cape please.

Any ideas if they are going to roll out in other locations which are not existing ATM?
eg, Polokwane, Kimberly, East London

hmmm. I waas told constantia is going up last friday.. still nothing, but that wasnt really official, just a technician support guy.

Hope it comes soon, but they are rolling out quickly, alot of new towers in the last month or two.

Oh, and did Gardens just come up today, or was it always there, looks new to me..
