From Reuters:

South Africa’s Internet service provider iBurst Africa is bidding for a licence in the vast Nigerian market and will know the outcome in a few weeks, its chairman said on Monday.

The company is looking to tap a growing African broadband market that is seen rising, powered by steady economic growth in most of the countries.

I think it is important to note that iBurst Africa is NOT the same company as iBurst SA. Ons may however see the two companies merge and then listed on the JSE...or so I have heard ;)

Who's 'ons'? :)

Listing details very thin at this moment, if any at all. Will give better feedback in the weeks to come. Right now service delivery is more important.

So does this mean we will soon get these emails: :)

"Hello I am Dr Jannie Van Zyl, CEO of iBursts Nigeria. I have the sum of $25,000,000 (twenty five millions dollars United States) in an unclaimed expenses account of iBursts Corp Nigeria PLC. I seek your help and uttermost confidentiality in transferring these funds outside of the country with the greatest of haste.
To achieve this I propose a 25% stake would go to you, 10% would be used for expenses and the remainder to be split among my partners. Please keep this email confidential as it was meant only for you. If you're not interested please forward this email to other business associates who can asssit me in this regard.

Regards,
Dr J van Zyl Esq the 3rd."

Please refrain from making positive comments like this in future as it is extremely disconcerting to actually feel positive about iBurst after so many years of carefully crafted feelings of discontent and helplessness.

My shrink advises Baby Steps to ensure a slow, but sure transition when it comes to change so as to alleviate any violent episodes that may result from dramatic shifts in the currently accepted and expected.

This is very disconcerting and should it continue, I shall be forced to seek compensation for increased fees payable to my Head Doctor.
