i want to advise anyone that considers using Iburst to think twice.
My connection speed is the only thing that works.
my problems with them started in september wher i was double debited for an amount of =/- 380 rand when i queried it i was told i will be credit noted with in 7-10 days, on 01 november this still wasnt done, so i phoned and demanded it get done imediatly or im canceling my contract, then all of a suden its done on the same day.
at the same time i requested they cancell my debit order as i dont trust them anymore. on 24 december i called to confirm if my debit order has been canncelled. they confimred it was. I also advised that the last statement i recieved was for a credit of R112 and nothing else, i was never sent my statement for jauany, whih i advised should be about R500 which i paid into ibursts acount on 30 december.
on 31 december Iburst debited mty acount for R572 (without sending me a tataement and i have asked for it and no one seems to be able to acess this) so after many phone calls and fight i get them to refund my acount for the R500 i paid.
Again i asked has my debit order been cancelled they advised yes, when i quireid my monthley subscription for my wirelss 5G (plus USB desktop modem)I get told its over R500 whih is incorrect as per their website its R485, they transfer me to accounts. I cant hold on forever so on 11 january i emailded accounts to query this i receive a respose that i am correct.
today i notice my bandwidth has dropped fro 5gigs to 3 gigs, i called customer service and queried this and acording to tehm whoever read my email decided to downgrade my acount from wirelss 5 to wirelss 3 without my permision. and now i have to wait for theses idiots to sort this out. So now i will probaly be charged for a downgrade that i never requested, and i have lost out 2gigs of bandwith.
if anyone from iburst sees this my acount number is W0066794 not that they care i have emaild custmoer service many times and the onetime i get an email respose this joanne morris claims she is trying to contact me( i only have a cellphone and guess what no miss calls) and i should call her, she is never in the office and after many tries i got a hold of her

the biggest mistake i ever made is signing a 2 year contract with them, i have 1 more year of this crap - speaking of acording to the website it expires in january 2038 and they cant fix that either.

im still waiting for this to be resolved, i have no patience any more.
i signed a 24 month contract but will get this cancelled ASAP, as they are in breach of contract.
I am genuinly convinced they have the most idiotic people working at theire acounts department, i would be happier dealing with any one else!

Good luck with that. Their contract is very tight, basically they can call for a breach in contract whenever they want to and cancel the contract, you on the other hand have to put up with their crap because, well you signed their contract which gives you no leg to stand on. If you do get it right to cancel your contract you'll most probably be triple billed the cancellation fee

between the devil and the deep blue sea :(
if anyone can help please do.
realy i probably spent a few thounsand rands on calls to these idiots at the call centre. and honestly i have used mmore swear words with them then i have in my entire life!

if i were CEO of I worst, id be retrenching the incompetant staff, today

Another complaint

Unfortunately my experience with debit orders gone wrong is that the only effective way to get the issue resolved, is to threaten to have the boss chucked in jail. iBurst is not the worst - some insurance companies are just as bad :-(

Send an PM to the iburst rep (I believe it is user iBurst), and state that in spite of the numerous attempts to have the issue resolved without success, you have no choice but to assume criminal intent.

If the issue is not resolved by close of business on (date), you will lay a criminal charge of fraud and theft against one Jannie van Zyl, the CEO of iBurst.

And if required DO IT.

My experience in this is that almost always all the stumbling blocks simply vanish into thin air when such a message is received, and the one instance in which I actually had to take the matter further, it was hours after the first call by the "investigating officer" to the guilty party to resolve the issue.

I had only one time had problems with debit orders, when it went off twice a while back, but Shaun managed to help me get the problem sorted and my money refunded.

I really hope you guys get our issues sorted.

well at least they calling me today.
aparently acording to them i was paying R485 which is for a 3 gig package with a modem.
but acording to their website its for a 5Gig package with a modem.

Is there accounting system still not working? Good lord.

I dunno man. I closed an account years back and was harrassed by debt collectors. Three years later (July last year), iBurst finally discovered the discrepancy lay in their systems - they found out that there was some glitch whereby my last debit order to them was returned on their side, while my account showed it had gone through. And this only after I complained and moaned on here.

Three years! My account showed a debit, their system showed a returned debit order. What was going on there.

And they still haven't fixed the accounting system?
