Doesnt make much sense.. must be a problem with the international downlink connection. Those speeds arent very good compared to 1.16mbps (OMG!!!)

Try a different international test, testmy.net is usually fast. Ive got 780kb off there before, and my connection never get over 1mb even on local tests.

Been watching downloading speeds lately & they aren't quite up to standards from when I got Iburst a few months ago. I used to download at 105KB/s almost every file, now I stuggle to get 90KB/s. Lets do a test, everyone log off Iburst except me & i'll let you know what speed I get :D

I get about 70kB/s on average. And I know that my modem is not in the best place. tbqh that is sufficient for me for most stuff I do. The only irritant I have is when I try to stream video.

EDIT: Though let me add, that while 70kB/s is fine for me, it does mean that i will rate iBurst's value for money as a 70kB/s service and as such will go elsewhere if there is better value for money.

Still get 100-120KB/s, but there is no doubt that many basestations are getting congested.

Yeah... but iBurst seems better equipped with more brain matter to realise that they will need to upgrade their bandwidth if they get a huge influx of subscribers.

Unlike Sentech who just ignores the problem and the network gets slower and slower and SLOWER.

By the way - for those of you complaining about getting "ONLY" 70KB/s... good grief. On MyWireless I get 2KB/s to 3KB/s when I download some files LOCALLY.
