Hey everyone I would just like to ask something bout Iburst.
I'm lending a 2mb modem frm a friend to test it, as my adsl line got stolen so much they not replacing anymore =(.
I use speedtest and I get about 0.8mbps dl and 0.4dl and ping in the range 100ms-200ms.
I checked signal strength and it's at 100%.
Here comes the problem when I surf the net it's fast, but I try YouTube and it is very slow bordering on unwatchable.
When I download from certain sites it downloads at 8k. But the funny thing is that when dl gw2 updates it runs at 60k download. Also my apple firmware download when I download the file can run at 80 -100k dl.
Can anyone help me or explain to me. Cause I can't decide if I should buy. And is online games gonna be playable?

Apparently there is a problem with doing anything that uses international bandwidth. Local stuff is cool.

There is no indication from iBurst when the problem will be sorted out, or any actual communication from them at all. If they weren't the cheapest "broadband" in the country, I would have jumped ship ages ago.

I'm managing between 1.2KB/s and 5KB/s on a download right now. My normal speeds after midnight are usually around 170KB/s and about 40KB/s during the day, so 5KB/s is really rotten to the core!!!

O ok ic so this problem wasnt always there?
yesterday aftermidnight i still get 8k download which is like dial-up speed lolz.
what doesnt make sense to me is guildwars 2 and apple firmware should also be international servers.
cause in the beggning i was also thinking if the problem was due to local/international bandwidth.
