Iburst Sucks

Ja, I also noticed that I gto a .64 IP sometime and it was fine, but I changed it again just in case.

I guess they do listen.. after a long time.

If you're connection is degraded, you should think about buying an external antenna to enhance it. Otherwise, make sure your MTU is set to 1352.

thanks iBurst support centre. lol... :p

i already have an antenna, and a MTU of 1352 amazingly enough.. Its just that my antenna isnt in a very good place, but im not going to bother setting the whole thing up on my roof pr anything when a new tower is coming and im going to have to redo everything anyway.

Oh wait, I didnt post anyting about my connection here, you must be talking about the original post.. well, good advice I hope he has atleast done that already.

Thanks Fishy, how wonderful Africa is, so full of colour. LOL Yeah EHV/GBM it seems I need to change the IP now as well...

No I do not experience any loss every hour and my IP does not change every hour, in fact I have in the past held an IP for the whole month.

I only change IP when/if the old IP "dies" or if I happen to get a "dead" IP after I change.
I rely on BWMeter for my bandwidth usage since the iBurst BW monitor only updates after you change IP.

I use NetMeter, works great for me. I luv the graph. Especially since then i can set it to transparency and click through it, and see the average speed over 60 seconds. So now i have a good idea of what my speeds really are when i'm downloading.

NetMeter looks similar to BWMeter, not sure if it records network BW usage seperately from internet BW usage though, maybe you can tell me if it does.;)

No, it doesnt Mr.H.

Netlimiter does though ,thats a great program, similar to these but its main feature is actualy to be able to limit any program or even process that uses bandwidth. You can limit anything to any speed, it works great.

Not sure what you mean as to "no it does'nt" and then you go and say "Netlimiter does"
I assume you are saying that BWMeter does not record network and internet BW seperately, if thats what you meant then you are wrong as I've been using BWMeter for almost a year now and I know it does it seperately.

As for limiting speed etc that is exactly what BWMeter can do.

Oh, sorry I was referring to your post above mine, which was asking about NetMeter. oh.. but silly me, me im actually thinking of DUMeter, there are too many of these names.

Well what I meant was DUMeter (irrelevant now i know) doesnt differentiate between internet and network BW. Im not shure about NetMeter though.

Yeah I know DUMeter does not thats why I changed to BWMeter which is spoton with my BW usage with both network and internet.;)

Netmeter was however this month 16.1% out on 23G. :( :(

That's bad, but last month it was spot on...

I don't know Netmeter so maybe you can tell me if it monitors network and internet BW seperately.
BWMeter has been spoton again this month as it had every month ever since I started using it.:D

ok well, due to all the nice reviews BWMeter has been gettin around these cirlces decide to DL it and give it a try, only problem is that it doesnt work in Vista :( oh well, hopefully they fix that up soon enough.

Problem must lie in the re-written TCP/IP stack...
