To stick to the topic, I know in Australia they give you a cap, say 3 gig or whatever you pay for, then once you hit your cap you go over to a per meg charge. From what I remember, it came to about 50c (South Africa Cents) a meg. So you still get the full speed, but you pay quite a bit for it.

It does depend on the SP you use over there. And OMG they have enough.

THE POINT DAMNNIT!!!!!! Basically, it was inevitable that they do it.
But i can't keep up with the number of changes they have made on a contract basis.
Any one you an original contract they can scan in, or stick into a PDF (If it's allowed) so we can rip it apart? I only ever signed an order form. I don't remember signing a contract.

Any cutoffs is a breach of contract as I see it.

According to their website they never stated that we will be cutoff after reaching the cap.

I hope someone from wbs is reading the forum as if they don't start communicating with it's customers I think they going to start seeing alot of cancellations very soon.

Actually, they way I see hOW WBS have done it, its probably called constructive disconnection
Why I say this is beacause, I havnt been dosconnected, But it amounts to the same thing, I mean i can connect, but after 30 seconds I cant browse anything.

For example, by the time i have finished typing this, I will be diconnected from the transp[arent proxy from helll

I will have to reconnect, login again , login to myadsl and then press send.......
When I run SPEED TEST i get 5.8bps...............................

Thats right folks BITS PER SECOND
NOT EVEN 64K no where near it.

Now thats what I call "tantamount to being disconnected"

Wouldn't it be nice if Ibursts forum worked, man that would be fun, probable they won't even read it, oh, or wait, they don't know how to make it work, I wonder why...

hehehe they took the forum out due to people moaning and raving, swearing and other stuff.
Guess they didn't fix up the issue and we are still waiting for them to fix up the ISSUE

my theory is that the bandwidth manger hascapped me to .8K instaead of 8K
OR 6.4K INSTAEAD OF 64........................... BETCHA

I think you're right, but in my case I shouldnt have been capped in the first place!

wbs are really testing my patience.... if this new service comes into being they are just going to get rid of the people they dont want.

it's sentech all over again... wbs stop blaiming your customers and fire your useless manegemnt.

fire sasin parvin... he proves as useless as winston smith from sentech

for 2 weeks now i am not recieving bandwidth reports. for almost a month my service has slowsly degraded with one or two nights of good service... how the fsck is anyone meant to abuse your sh1tty system when it hardly works as advertised these days.

my emails seems never to get out using your sh1tty smtp service.

i think wbs needs some major news coverage and media attention and maybe even a new product over called: i-fsck-u-over!

I am sooooooo happy that I ordered my DSL line last week, and the funny thing is they are connecting it on Tuesday.

Is telkom trying to implement a "good. efficient, Speedy service" policy? They actually called me back! WBS could learn something from em!

Now onto the future, lets have a new bet on the table.....

Try to guess the months that WBS has left in business. Any ideas for what the winner of this should receive?

I'm just waiting to see if the new system is official or not as there still seems to be conflicting opinions on the subject.

If it is indeed to be implimented then thats it I'm outa here.

Pity such a good system has to be ruined by such a dumb company.... could go on but we all know what I mean.

Ok Tshwane come and stay in Soweto. The connection speed is great here not as bad as Tshwane (oops Pretoria). I dont know why this has happend to Tswane people. I would you like to know from people that have called helpdesk and crap on those poor guys. Do you do that with Shaun aswell coz he is white. I know its a NEW SOUTH AFRICA. I want to know. Hey I still say why waste your money and give it to a company that is not giving you a great service. IF you are not happy CANCEL THE ACCOUNT. A.S.A.P thats what I have done with companies that gave me crap.

From what I recall that was posted on this here forum, the profanities on WBS' own iBurst forum, were allegedly mostly from WBS' side...but then difficult to say since you couldn't see any names attached to posts...:rolleyes:
