iBurst vs. ADSL

Saying 'workarounds' are easy, is like buying a TV that requires a manual tuning into the channel every time you want to watch a program - yeah its 'easy' but why bother - get a better TV set rather.)

Well said.

A simple way to compare the two services :-

iBurst - wireless - extremely expensive
ADSL - fixed line - extremely expensive

or its more like buyign a high def tv in south africa and wanting to pick up high def channels

swordfish1 : where can I have a look at those packages you are talking about, I am seriously considering cancelling my IBurst since they refuse to give you even the most basic level of customer service

halicon just thought you would like to know that a friend of mine on 24 month contract just sent a cancellation email and Shaun did not seem to think there would be any problem with this. You may be able to cancel if you like, give it a shot.

I have both an adsl modem AND an iburst modem now, so its all about whoever gives the most data for the less monthly price, from here on, for me.
All yaddayadda about portable vs stationary access aside, the only relevant thing would seem to be this factor. (Of course, if you havent made the outlay and happened to have bought both modems, then you cant approach it like this.)
Working on the amount of gigs I've downloaded from IBurst since December til the recent cap cr*p, and the amount of 24/7 fun I'd had up until recently, the IBurst modem has paid for itself (for me anyway).
Now its all about the amount of data I can get @ what cost per month. Whoever gives me more, gets my money regularly.
