Remember it is actually 5GB anytime and 5GB midnight to morning.

This contract comes with the USB modem, but you should consider paying in a bit extra to get the desktop modem instead. It has a larger antenna and can be connected to a router.

With that much data on tap you do want to download a lot of stuff.
Torrents does not work with Iburst, although you should get about 50kbps from midnight to morning.

This is not constructive at all, if he asked if he should joint iBurst i would understand, Not everyone is unhappy with iBurst, other than few issues (Which company has none?) i think they are offering a great service.

If you have a modern and have tested your speeds and happy then i don't believe you will have any issues, its been advised around the forum to take note that when you cancel their service you also put a stop order on their payment to avoid unknown deductions, unfortunately have not considered that option yet.

10GB @ R149 per month is a good package but was not sufficient for my needs hence opted for the VAS64.

Just go onto hellopeter and have a look at the list of complaints - there are many pages of it and they also choose not to respond to these complaints. As for the package - cheap as chips, but there is a good reason for this.

I am using iBurst and for what I need it for, its fine... so I ain't complaining much.
I don't expect it to be perfect. I know they have issues, gotta either fight the whole time or accept it.

I have Iburst for about 4 years now... cant complain.. cant find a cheaper option either... R198 for 10Gig + 10Gig night.... no line cost or anything else required. The most important is to make sure you within proper coverage..

I use iBurst, and to be honest as long as you dont call their call center they're a decent service provide (lol?)

To answer your question, I was on the 10Gb offering, but although it was a decent offering, I actually increased to the 20Gb option so I could cash in on the extra 10Gb for only +/- R57..

Pros:
no line rental fee
cost effective
decent speeds (if in the right coverage zone, see cons section)

Cons:
calls to customer service call center will drive you nuts, try and avoid at all costs
very zone dependant - restricted to major cities only at the moment, and within cities some areas are better covered than others (see iBurst coverage map before buying)
can sometimes be 'spotty' in international connection (dunno why), but limited to around a few hours once a month

That's because your doing it wrong. I get full 2mbps download speed via torrents any time of day... even when my anytime data is finished and I'm supposed to be throttled to 128kbps

i"m on the 20gb package for R198. havent had major problems. i would say don't sign up directly with iburst though. sign up with one of their resellers and dont let them debit from your account. just transfer the money into their account every month. works out better and if you do decide to cancel, you dont struggle with them still debiting your account. and dont sign a contract. rather go on gumtree and buy a 2nd hand modem and go on month to month. its what i did and a year down the line im still happy
