Recently a post came flying into this wonderful forum in helping us solve the daily frustrating problems iBurst serves us with…the post “How to download just about everything without iBurst knowing” I used every fragment of word written in that post in order to solve my p2p downloading problem….amazingly it worked….i got wonderful download speeds of 50kb’s and up I felt like a king….but the dreadful day came 01/06/07 (rebirth of my smallish 3gig cap) as I connected my little black modem…surfing swiftly I connected to my p2p software…and my IBURST!!! moment came….0..1…2…3 max Kb downloading…ahhhh!!!! what the hell was going on….so I did everything to fix it (disconnected restarted uninstalled reinstalled I recreated every scene to fix my pathetic 56kb modem speeds I was receiving….nothing….just the dreadful speeds coming back to haunt me…..

So I ask to all the Iburst users does anyone know if Iburst has figured another way of screwing over its fellow iburst subscribers by preventing them from receiving those heavenly speeds I so recently had on p2p software (BitLord….Utorent…. Azureus)

I cannot relive another moment of such poor downloading speeds again…..

Please Help!!!

Are you just using Torrents? Because they suck anyway, but thats besides the point ;)

Have you just tried using plain uTorrent with Encryption set to forced? (Under Perferences -> Bit Torrent)

btw, are you saying that Tor no longer works for P2P?

Not to put too fine a point on it but there are plenty of Tor blacklists out there.

I agree EHV and thats why things like that should not be posted on this forum.

Funny, I didn't have that problem - was downloading a torrent beginning of the month, no prbs - seeding too. Used uTorrent, encryption forced, and Tor. Double digit speeds, not too bad for me. Of course, with torrents you are dependent on the amount of peers/seeders available, so may that not have been the problem?

Woooot....!!!!

Amazing after all the hard trouble and constant deja vu rebirthments....Tor did its job again....my heavenly speeds are back.....so i can sit with a smile on my face.....:)......dont ask me how i did it....thats gona need a couple of pages....but as i said i just rexperienced every moment that came to fixing my p2p issue......thanx for the replies all......we iBurst subscribers are still a few steps ahead....mwhahahahah ;)

My iburst still doesn't let me download torrents. Not through VPN or tor.

Sucks. I hate them.

Funny thing with my p2p i usually get around 50 - 95kbps but when i log onto it again the next day it drops to about 20 - 35kbps???

maybe cos there's no seeders for you to sustain that 90k?

P2P doesn't = Torrents. But it's basically the same thing, you might not be downloading from as many, or even the same, users, so you can't get those speeds.

Shaping would mean that the speeds fluctuate too I guess, you are on iBurst?

Where in the hell are you going to download torrent content from http site?
Well, if anyone knows post it.
The problem is they should not be able to tell us what to download, when to download it and how to do it!!!!!!!!!

File hosting sites, uploaders like Rapidshare, megaupload etc etc..

Tons of sites link to Rapidshare and so on, they'll have everything that torrents have. There are some plain FTP warez servers, but that would be hard to find.
