I also noticed it was off last month.. just before i noticed it was dead...

Maby you should sort of advertise this more, alot more people are getting Iburst, Im shure alot of them would love to know about this.. Its a great idea.
 
I'm new to iBurst so I'm interested what this is about. I have some idea that it has to do with dc++? Can someone please explain further?
 
I'd love to advertise the zombie :D get 1 X DC++ @ http://dcpp.net/download then learn about active and passive @ http://www.dcpp.net/faq/ and then join the ibust hub @ibust.kicks-ass.net. Iburst users seem to be in completely random groups of connectivity, i.e. some people connect at full speed to others, so hang around and see if their are more people in ur group if ur speeds suck. In fact just hang around, if ur the first person there stay for a while cos usually 4 or 5 people take turns to rock up, look around at the solitude and leave.

Guy's, thank you for sharing this with me after my 4th month iBurst. I've actually looked for a place like it. I'm in now and I only see old {kingmonty} in there. I think it's great and we should support one another as far as possible.

c'mon people, lets pull together and make the differance!!! VIva!!

what speeds do you get when you capped from other Iburst users?
 
I miss the hub... I loved getting usage of 30GB on my 3GB account but no more. Come on guys, lets keep this going, the more of us there are the better for all of us.

skydog, that depends on how lucky you get. I got lucky most of the time, and managed to get full speed (30-40KB/s) down and about the same up, but sometimes they still manage to limit you to the measly 7KB/s. When it works well, DC++ is the most awesome thing, but lately there have been way too few ppl on the hub. Lets all stick around, and revive it.
 
People used to use it but its been quiet lately, possibly cos I stopped punting it. I would love nothing more than for it to be rocking.
 
btw, its not random groups, its ppl in the same Core Networks, there being 3 core networks (GP, DBN, CT). so all ppl from GP will get full uncapped speed to each other even after cap, and all ppl from dbn, etc etc.
 
This is kinda a little OT...
But what sort of reliability have people had with this - the uncapped between local users i mean...
Is it something that is a reliable feature of the system or something that just kinda happens to work sometimes. This would be really useful for me if it does work reliably
 
I haven'treally used it cause nobody ever goes on there when I'm connected. The only way for us to test this is to log on and use the flippen system available.

I don't think anybody that really uses Iburst can still not be capped this time of the month, so how about we get on there and check it out.
 
Well.....

It is very lonely on the hub at the moment... (2ppl) and been like that for most of the day. Where is everyone?
 
I used to use the hub, but I never got above 10KBps when capped, and I'm in JHB... :/

Moved on to Torrents for the moment.
 
Azgard, I'm from jozie as well, how about you go on and just stay there, the more people do that, the more we will eventually be on. I just connected and there are now 3 in total, 2 more than a few weeks ago.
