Congrats to RPM, Greg and Debbie2?

Is that all the public say done now? Is it now in the hands of 'them'?

Tragically, agreed. I figure on Mohabi, Mtombela, Matlala, Mdludlu, Moloto, to keep it alliterative. Who is on this "committee"?

Is it allowed to lobby for candidates? If we email or call ICASA to support Debbi2,rpm or Greg will they get pissed off?
 
Well done RPM, MaD and Debbie! Hope that at least one of you guys (preferably all :D) make it all the way.

Skip you could try calling, but I don't think it would make any difference since ICASA isn't ultimately responsible for submitting the shortlist of 8 candidates to Poison Ivy.
 
I hope they make it but if the fail i'll refer back to my my second sentence in this thread

It is with the Parliamentary Committee. The secretary appears to be Rita Schaafsma [email protected]. I doubt any submissions would be considered, but I don't know the rules.
 
but then won't they be having a conflict of interest being on the forum too ? not that it matters since i'm sure a few of gov have conflift like that where they making money which is alot worse..
 
I don't think it's a conflict of interest at all seeing that this is basically a consumerism forum, and isn't protecting consumers from exploitation supposed to be one of ICASA's duties? Having a councillor who understands things from the consumers point of view can only be beneficial.

Ditto, great to see your names on the nominations list & I bet some Steve* @ Telkodemonopolies pooped their pants at the thought of the Telkodemonopolized playing field being levelled to promote competition in the telecoms market :).

lets keep tabs on the interview process and ensure a massive myadsl turnout in CPT / JHB when the terrible trio come up
