I dont agree with this, do you think vodacom and MTN would have or will lower interconnect with it being forced via regulations?
The quality of ICASA's regulation may be poor but regulations are most certainly needed when dealing with the likes of Vodacom, MTN and Telkom.

Actually, regulations are what is keeping the interconnect rate high in the first place, not lack of competition. Regulations are what Telkom hides behind everytime LLU is mentioned. I'm afraid you've got it it the wrong way around. We need less regulation and less government interference.
