ICC Twenty20 2014

A far more respectable score here. Well done, JP. That was a special innings...

Monumental effort from JP. Now let's hope we get Corey Anderson out cheaply, that bloke will take the game away from us if he stays in...

109 runs in the last 10 overs.
70 runs in the last 5 overs

JP strike rate of 200 :)
Very competitive total, so let's hope Lopsy and co. bowls well and the McCullum's don't fire too much :)

So post Amla...we had 20 off 15 from the next three in....yep, can see why it was good that Amla got out ...???

Who was it the other day that wanted to fire JP from the T20 team? :p

Well done Duminy, finally someone raises their hand when we really needed it! :D :D

Now the bowlers need to do their part.

It's not Lopsy's bowling that I'm worried about, it's his fielding. Let's hope that the ball doesn't go anywhere near him...

keep him inside the circle, he can't be boundary rider...

Faf, Miller and Albie are just passengers... if we get 50 from all 3 of them together we lucky lol!
Amla, AB and JP having been carrying the team for a while now.

I vote Albie for open, and Amla for sack.

Amla opened and went out in the 13th over at a strike rate of over 100. He kept the scoreboard ticking by handing over the strike quickly. At the other end he saw 3 wickets fall to leave Sa at 42/3 in the 6th over. Without an anchor Sa could very well have been 5 or 6 wickets down before the 10th over putting them at risk of being bowled all out. Instead he has laid the foundation for the big hitters to hit big. His role in the team is vital.

Yep, I don't know why people are attacking Amla. At least he stayed in and rotated the strike. Why is nobody criticising the reckless shots from Faf and AB? They're the reason we had the early collapse, and if JP didn't fire then we would have been screwed...

...In the Amla debate, without considering that he was freakishly out...

He got 41 from 40 as opener ...the other six besides Duminy got 42 from 37

Amla's wicket was a freak accident. He was about to let loose.

Amla, once again, did what the team demanded of him. Simple as that...
