ICC Twenty20 2014

So the big question is faf comes back where does he bat in the semi final and hendricks bit expensive today got to make way for phangiso simply because the next pitch they will be playing on will offer more spin conditions.

Punctuation your nemesis?

I want Morne back in the team...

Tsek, him and lobsy can take one for the team and sit this tournament out if we wanna have a slight chance of winning this.....Hendricks took a bit of hiding even today but he's been bowling better than those two, either one of those two would have lost us the game today if they played.Parnel has been a gem for us today and should play the next two games, really seems to be a reformed bowler that's much more consistent in recent times.More spin in the form of phangiso might not be a bad idea for the next game in place of hendriks but it's risky because we don't know how he'll handle the pressure and Hendricks already had a taste of pressure so should be a safer bet.

Epic match today. That's what we're capable of when making the right selections and playing to our potential. Faf coming back in will provide the best combination we have.

Had to go to bed at 2:30am, match was taking too long...good outcome to wake up to , good to see the boys in semis

Aussies probably playing dead rubber tonight, won't bother with that at 12:30am

Great hitting and improvising from AB last night, seems he could have clobberred any ball.

IMO...Faf comes in for Behardien...how about opening with Albie as a risky option...may come off

Albie dislocated his finger. Might not play the next game. Berhardien didn't play today AFAIK...

3.00 pm Pakistan have won the toss and they will bat first. Hot conditions, suited for batting is Hafeez's reasoning. Sohail Tanvir comes in for Bilawal Bhatti.

Mushfiqur says they have to click in this game. Abdur Razzak comes in for Sohag Gazi

"Any thing about pitch report and par score ? I like to have them in memory," --- Khobab, the pitch looks 'tired' according to Sanjay Manjrekar and Athar Ali Khan expects 160 to be par..

3.20 pm Time for my favourite bit, the national anthems.. and two of my favourite ones too.

Not sure who is commenting on this :erm:

If Bangladesh are happy to chase at 10+ per over, then they should win this easily

From CricInfo
Lehmann also said that allrounder James Faulkner would need to be wiser about the words he chose while bantering with the opposition. Before the match against West Indies, Faulkner's comment that he did not particularly like the team brought out an aggressive, in-your-face celebration from Darren Sammy's men after their tense victory on Friday. Lehmann also did not approve of West Indies' wild celebrations, saying it was not something Australia would have done.

"From my point of view, James has probably got to choose his words a little bit better but that's just part and parcel of the banter of the game, isn't it?

Faulkner is a poor example of a sportsman. He grew up in the era of Aussie sledging, and yes he is a competitive guy, but a typical product of kids of that era that were sledging at U12 level because their heros were doing it.

Lehman is one of those examples, so who is he now to tell him to pull his head in. I hope Lehman's era is short lived because he was chosen to put more venom into the team, but he didn't earn the nickname Boof for no reason.

IMO, the way these arseholes history are suddenly forgotten amazes me....Boonie is a match referree isn't he...same bloke that bragged about breaking Botham's beer drinking record on the flight from England.

Role models these guys, the young players should listen to them.

The current Aussie team went balls to the wall with their sledging on the latest SA tour. To the point that radio commentators were apologising to the audience for the foul nature of the comments, saying that they had no control over the levels of the audio signals they were receiving...

They'll only stop when opposition teams refuse to shake hands and socialise after the game.

That's when they'll realise that they've pushed it too far.

Naa.

That's exactly what they want.

Fodder for more sledging.

Best is to ignore, beat them on the ground and then invite them over for a drink.
