iCloud Calendar

I tried googling this to no avail, but I wanted to share my icloud calendar with my wife's google calendar. I tried it with my own google calendar but couldn't do it.

I also tested if I can send invites from my google calendar to my icloud calendar, but that also don't seem to work. My apple ID is my gmail address, but I sent it from safari on my Macbook. I send it to my @icloud.com email address though as I don't really know where to send the invite to though.

I have been using google calendar till now, but I just want one calendar if it is possible. From trying it out and looking through the apple forums it doesn't seem that this has fully been sorted out by apple yet.

Has anyone gotten a similar setup working yet?

To be honest, I gave up on Apple's iCal and mail ages ago. Mail is severely limited feature wise and iCal just causes issues with all other software.

You're better off using Google or outlook.com and just syncing there's accounts to your iPhone.

The cloud has never been apples strong suite.

Yeah I went for using Google Calendar on my iDevices from the word go as it simply works better with everything else.

However the invitations should be working? Actually scratch that I've only ever used GCal with mine so that's why I would work.

If you want just one Calendar then just switch off the iCloud one and use Google instead.

I sync my Calendar & Contacts through Google rather than iCloud and it's never been a problem all the way since iPhone 3GS.
