Iconic IT brands in SA

how did Motorola make it in the top list?? when last did we see a decent Moto in SA? and dont say the RAZR

The definition of ICONIC should have been spelled out to those participating in the survey because in my opinion the results doesn't point to the true ICONS of industry/market but rather what's mostly in use (marketshare). Most iconic can/should include products that's not widely used/available in SA due to price/availability. Ferarri is iconic but in a survey like this the BMW 3 series will come out tops.

I kinda like my Milestone. Seems to be of a better build quality (subjectively) than my previous HTC phone.

Acer was named the most iconic Computer brand in the country, followed by LG, Samsung, Dell and Hewlett Packard.

LG? Computer brand? How much did they pay for that? A company that sells only notebooks and monitors is ranked higher than Dell or HP? It would be interesting to see the makeup of the survey sample used to deliver this meaningless result.
