Maybe the Traffic Depts. should look into doing this as this would free the licensing / testing up a bit. If you already have a car drivers license and want to apply bike license, then why not just make us pay for the learners lic without writing the test. I have no issue with paying for the learners certificate, but why should we have to re-sit the test, it is just a waste of time having to stand in queues and having tio come back a few weeks later sit for how long on a test an more queues to get the piece of paper. A friend of mine sat 5hrs in a queue, and that is in a small town. Time is money. Then they would have more space for newbies that want there learners for cars, etc.

Because 99% of drivers have forgotten the rules of the road. Also the learners does not cover the motorbike controls - different questions.

Also how many people writing are doing their bike leaners? The 5 times I did mine (rewrites as I never got my full licence just rewrote after each time it expired) we where never more than 2-3 out of 30 who did our bike learners.

Well firstly about 1% of people writing the learners are doing so for the bike and are already in possession of a drivers so you're not gonna save a lot of overhead really. Secondly the bike has different controls and laws governing you using it on the road so redoing the test is fair imo.

Instead what they should do is have automated workstations where you can just rock up and do your test whenever you want. Now that would eliminate all the problems and waiting periods.

No, NO please, no new ideas. they are still working on getting on top of the current ones. We're halfway there, they need only 40 more years, please, PLEASE don't make us start over, no new things. For any government departments.

Ok, maybe i should shelf the idea, just like E-tolling:D

Yes i know the bike has different controls, but the road signs are still the same. I know where everything is on a bike, so why should i redo the signs test. They just want to waste my fn time.

See, you don't, not all road signs are the same!

With scrambled multiple choice answers, removes cheating and bribery.

I have a better idea. Get credit card machines already.

I was shocked when I went to pay something at the traffic department in Humansdorp and they accepted cards.

A few weeks later I had to pay license or somthing (think it was a few weeks later) back here in CT and while standing in the queue I see this bigass sign: "Cash only!" How the fscking fsck is it possible for such a small place have card machines?! :wtf:

Here in CT it is easy to get cash, you try and defraud in Humansdorp! EVERYBODY knows you!
