Identifiers on MS exchange mail check in .

Hi All Administrators

I was hoping someone could possibly answer a query that I have .
When a PC or laptop checks in / pulls mail from and Exchange server , is there any identifiers logged that can be used to identify the device that is pulling down the mail for reporting purposes ?
Eg . Machine name / Mac address / IP v6
(other than IP)

Are there 3rd party plug ins that can add this functionality if Exchange does not come with it by default?
