Identity theft on the rise

old news...get spyware/adware protection and a go get a decent Anti-Virus package and firewall...more than that and it's out of your hands..

For instance....Nod/Ad-aware and Comodo Firewall pro...

I prefer them seperate. Just because software comes package in a suit, doesn't mean it's the best or works well together...

Credit

One of the other risks associated with identity theft is access to credit. It's 'relatively' simple for a person using a fake ID to apply for credit. You could find yourself laboured with debt that does not belong to you. Use a facility like http://www.creditexpert.co.za to monitor your credit profile, it will alert you to the fact that a credit providor has made a credit check on you, and when new credit has been applied to your ID number.

I stole my identity once. I pretended I was me.

Fooled everybody.
lol:D

most people however do not take any precautions and when something goes wrong they moan "why me?"
