IFP Hits Back

Maybe no one wants to wake Ivy up. She's less likely to do serious damage when she's taking a nice quiet nap.

whatever their new position ... I am not interested personally ... do not care for a party that comments without even understanding what they are talking about and only to change their minds later because they realised that they r gonna lose votes. It is good news for the fight though :) ... Lets hope we can get something out of the ANC soon .. cause that will pretty much be the government stance. Has anyone managed to get hold of the DOC/ivy ?? Would really like to hear what they have to say.
wil contact DoC now. watch this space........but don't hold your breath.

Dont be nasty Ivy does the work of two people , Laurel ana Hardy :D

bwahahaha nice one Kabal

neio - I agree, but it could also draw some attention to Telkom's stupidity

Very surprised and disappointed with the DA's response. They definitely are throwing away a lot of votes.

Why would they be preparing a new response? Surely one is enough. They'd look very stupid if they now change their tune.

The South African Oscars .

If We had Oscars for local soaps our Egoli people would win .

Best Screenplay/Script Steve White , not only is he creative but his vision for the future is without comparison , he is his own worste enemy and everything he touches turns to crap , his way with words are on par with those of george bush , maybe he would do better trying to imposonate Marcel Marsou .

Best Director - Ivy , for having the insight to appoint White , and her role as uber pupet master .

Best Producer - Sizwe , he does what no other person is capable of doing maitaining a monopoly .

Best supporting Actor - The DA , like the office bottle blonde this bed hopping tramp is totally clueless as the the real plot and can not see anything other than her needs , she does try to "please" those who are in power .

Best new comer -The IFP - The Silent partner , they have been lurking around taking note of all that has happened and now they have seen enough and have decided that it is time to bring the bad folk to Justice .

Best Picture Award - Telkom only they could come up with all the bs to feed the media machine and expose themselves for what they really are , bottom feeding rats , with a tendancy to eat not only their competitors but also their young .

Best Supporting role - ICASA for having the NADS to take a stance , to open "Teh_can" and bring telkom down to size , and to point out to telkom that YES , You are responsible for this mess , now clean it up!

DA's response will be interesting... but ye... they already lost the vote. I'm having a VERY unproductive work week... lol.

Agree with the unproductive work week.

Spent waaaay too much time sitting around pressing F5

Speed up alternative to Telkom - ACDP

We are appalled by Telkom's response to the intended new rules to be drawn
up by the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) aimed
at reducing the cost of high-speed internet services.

Such rules would not only improve services but also ensure that customers
and small businesses can use these services without suffocating under hefty
charges.

Telkom's arrogance - built on the fact that they are a monopoly -
demonstrates that we urgently need another operator.

ICASA must show its independence and not back down from their intention to
prevent Telkom from overcharging its clients.

We call for urgent attention to be paid to this matter in order to ensure
that South Africans will have a viable alternative soon.

The DA must be hating their response now... :)

ANC? Never - they own 39% of Telkom..

Mad, as much as I like you, I have to say something about this comment you made.

Note that:
"ANC" is NOT "government".

The place of government in a democracy is the so-called 'empty place of power' - empty meaning that no party can ever 'own' the government, or be the permanent goverment.

Its a very important distinction the must be made. Discourse that confuses the party (i.e. ANC) with the government is dangerous, and must be avoided at all costs. The party (the ANC) and the government are two distinctly different entities.

Sorry, but this is a very important point.

Yes thats they wat its supposed to be....
I might be treading on dangerous ground, and this isnt a place for politics, but in my view that sadly is not the case.
