I'm a HD whore

I don't bother with series just because downloading and storing 700mb-1gb per episode for 20ep X 5 seasons is a killer on bandwidth and storage. Otherwise with movies I don't compromise unless there isn't a Blu-Ray version.
 
Lol...I am the same...anime and TV series has to be minimum of HD 720p...I am running low on space, but then again, its worth having nice HD quality episodes!! :D I used to just watch 360p episodes, or 480p episodes (thats if I want to strech it a little), that was when I was still on a 384Kbps ADSL Line. Now that I got 2Mbps ADSL Line (10GB) and I have a 3G connection (20GB total), I got room for HD video :)

The average anime HD episode is 350 - 450MB for HD 720p and 550 - 750MB for HD 1080p...and these are in mkv. As for series, my GOT HD 720p episodes are about 1.2 - 1.5GB in size, and they are mp4 format. Which format delivers the best, lowest size video?

720p for TV series, 1080p for movies (10GB +- rips). I try avoid SD, it looks like ****.
 
Hate it when I see something is a cam. Will rather not watch it. It's not just people getting up, the picture and sound are cr*p too...
 
Ah, the ol' quality vs quantity debate.

For me, I have a plasma - so even 480p looks great. I'm fine with it.
(Although for good shows and blockbuster movies I prefer 720p and higher)

So, it depends what it is... just another series or movie? SD is fine. The good stuff? 720p and up of course.

Unless you have VDSL like zoidberg, why the need to get 720p or 1080p of absolutely everything?? :wtf:


Edit: Also... I'd rather get 10 x 1GB YIFI mkv's instead of 1 x 10GB mkv.

Because SD looks like ****, it's just a fuzzy mess. If something isn't worth an HD download it probably isn't worth watching in the first place.
