I"M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After being disconnected for the most part of the weekend I'm finally back, SAIX was useless and telscum is a pirate's worse nightmare ::mad:

Don't all applaud @ once, I know you missed me :p

AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH I LOVE MYADSL :D

The first bit of useless information telscum told me was that my pc couldn't see the DNS servers, yeah right !!! They could then fix it "remotely". After about 3 hours I got fed up and phoned back quoting the reference number, they said the DSLAM is broken(whatever that is) and that there was a network failure.

I only had a problem for about 2 hours last night, but otherwise it was fine. (Used WebAfrica for that period)

The bloody bugger was that I couldn't use my webafrica account, it's starting to prove useless to me, I basically got it for scenarios like this, but I was out of luck, it started Thursday, Friday was fine and was disconnected from Saturday morning till about 9 this morning. :( very aweful

I watched pirates of the carribean deadman's chest last night and man was it good.

You were gone for a few days, and then you started a thread about it?!

Wow... Well, i had KFC yesterday, perhaps i should start a thread about that, and another thread about the Coke i bought on friday...

Awweee Dae Ja Voo, do what you like bru, it's actually not so much about me being away as it is the uselesness of telscum, but thanks for the input, I had wimpy yesterday ;) and I'm drinking vanilla coke.

In case you missed it he was gone because of a fault - faults and their subsequent resolution are always of interest.

Have a coke and a smile :)

I like coke!! :D

Yep I agree, it was more about the fact that telkom's internet wasn't working. Had the same problem at work, the internet wasn't working because of the stupid telkom account. My IS account was working fine from there though.

So all's well, I wish openweb had a rollover per GB account such as webafrica, I asked Mr. Beep about it, but he said it's not financially viable, we can only hope!!

btw what happen last night? for a few minutes[like 2 or so] everything kinda stopped working except http just after midnight and then it worked again.

My bloody internet keeps doing the same thing :( I'm gonna cry myself to sleep tonight, I hope it stays up tonight

this is a useless thread. and if you dont know what a dslam is then there is a reason u think telscum are idiots ( main reason is cos you dont know what they are talking about ) so are they idiots for telling you the wrong things? or idiots for knowing more than you?

ether way u dont look good in this

Thanks for the input, I appreciate it, it's just funny that 2 guys tell you it's a DSLAM, one guy tells you the pc can't see the DNS server, one guy later tells you your router might be busted and the next guy puts the phone down in your ear. I don't need to be reminded of telscums people skills each time I try and sort out a problem and as for your useless comment, if I wanted to know what a DSLAM was, I would've known, but guess what? You guessed it.

I don't need to look good in any situation, especially not for the sake that telscum could feel better about themselves. Do me a huge favor gangstarr, stop commenting on the threads I start, stop!.....

I've had enough of telscum, it's my way of venting, if you couldn't take the jokes I made with you in earlier weeks that have passed, so be it. Get real dude, please.

now this is what i love gangstarr = calm and does not care about adsl issues
teraside= angry and worked up over adsl
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but erm..... if you knew what u were talking about they would have told you sooner what the problem was.

but i actually cant be bothered. and plus I laff till my stomach hurts when ppl are on about how much they hate telkom. if you hate it so much and hate the service go elsewhere. if you dont know what telkom is talking about then wtf is your problem? dont be mad cos they know as much as you do ( if at all possible even less )

do me a favour and read a book on dsl or something.

Clearly you read through my last post with as much contempt as I have for telkom, so I guess we're on the same page.

If you had the most basic idea or concept about the frustration it causes to have a weekly internet related problem, your words would have been different.

So just to clarify a bit more for you, incase you passed over my other posts aswell, I can't access the internet through my telkom supplied router, by using telkomisp or webafrica login details, which = the problem to be on telkom's side, and not my incability of knowing DSL terminolgy.

So thank you, but no thank you.

There's that argument again - well guess what - that's not always an option.

The customer isnt supposed to have all the right answers - the provider is.
