Plex on it's own yes,but that's why I have the put.io channel added on my plex, just add any torrent you want into put.io and stream via plex to your tv.

I haven't used too much Plex just enough to see that it plays stuff from your collection and I found ps3 media server did the job without making my life complicated. I dunno that is how it was for me and a lot of people swear by Plex so I'm not mocking it.

Adding torrents to a program in order to play them just seems like such a long winded way of streaming something when you can just use Kodi with Exodus to click and watch the same thing you have to load into Plex.

I do see the merit though last night I was watching Harley and the Davidsons and for some reason every stream was 25mins long instead of 122mins so I had to download the torrent version then only watch, which was a bit of a pain. This could help in a few cases.

Can promise you I am not the only one...they will be thousands...ready on the Getflix FB site how peeved off folks are and the same will be true on other smart DNS services sites. Anyway, I don't really care what they think...wait...you are trolling aren't you! No man :)

FYI - another good option for Kodi is a Raspberry Pi 3. Cheap and works like a bomb (one caveat, can't do h265).

I've tried everything from Hulu to Netflix and this is the only one that doesn't have issues with me being in South Africa.

All they want is your money. Everyone wins :D

Am I the only one currently reevaluating the relationship they have with anyone they know called Dave…

:crylaugh: I can just imagine all the Dave's in South Africa getting speculative looks from their mates on MyBB.

depends, you want to continue legal viewing Hulu
Other I know is: Watch Episodes

I'm not sure what "Watchepisodes" are as I doubt I can click on the link here at work... But if it is what I think it is, then great boet.... why did you had to go and give the link here? Right now the Multichoice agent/detective/under cover d00s on here is already busy pulling strings to close down that website... *slow hand clap*

I've decided to order an amazon fire stick and set up kodi. Unfortunately it's not available on roku. Here are other recommended options, if anyone's interested.

I did look at hulu as an option, but their ad-free service is a bit pricey imo.

And f!@k dave.

Yep I'm also a bit fussy about quality and usually only watch x265 hd rips so this way I get proper content streamed to my TV, I've found most free services skim on quality at times.

Get a Chromecast 2.Best device I ever bought even something as simple as streaming a YouTube video from my phone to my TV is so simple now and what remote control can be better than your phone for internet videos etc?

Something that works really well is automatically downloading with news servers or torrents, using a service like Couch Potato (movies) and Sonarr (or Sickbeard) for series. It usually gets downloaded the same night it airs and you can then watch it through a nice player like Kodi.

If you'd like to rather stream, most will suggest popcorn-time.se, but I believe Stremio.io works better (they have add ons for extra torrent sources).

I have the chromecast 1, loving it. Is there really a difference besides design?

How did you get plex to stream to your TV ? I have been having issues for the last few days now trying to cast to my chromecast. Is it not supported ? I get the option and it picks up my cast but it just hangs there

Out of interest - do all those channels work on the US roku without having paid subscriptions to some sort of US tv/internet service?
