Out of interest - do all those channels work on the US roku without having paid subscriptions to some sort of US tv/internet service?

Most of them have "free" episodes of many of their shows for those without a subscription, either free-standing or via a cable/satellite sub.

(UK) Sale of Kodi 'fully-loaded' streaming boxes faces legal test

A legal case concerning the sale of video-streaming set-top boxes that can access subscription content for free, begins on Tuesday.

So-called "fully-loaded Kodi boxes" have gained popularity, but the legality of their sale is in question.

Kodi under threat in the UK it seems.

Get a Chromecast 2.Best device I ever bought even something as simple as streaming a YouTube video from my phone to my TV is so simple now and what remote control can be better than your phone for internet videos etc?

Dumb question, but can Chromecast stream content you already have, and can you use your phone as a remote for that?

So i got the fire stick about a week ago and have kodi with exodus set up. The process is pretty straightforward and the tutorials are really easy to follow. I'm very happy with it so far. The UI is not as user-friendly and slick as netflix, but the very big advantage is that you have access to basically every TV show and movie you can think of. No need to switch regions to access what you want, everything is just there. I really hope that one day netflix will get to provide a service like this, which i believe is what they want to do.

If anyone else is thinking of getting kodi, I definitely recommend it.

Yep, if you use Plex, for example. Run Plex Media Server on your PC or whatever, then use the Chromecast to cast it from your phone to your TV, via the Plex app.

Plex on it's own yes,but that's why I have the put.io channel added on my plex, just add any torrent you want into put.io and stream via plex to your tv.

Hey falcon786, I have been doing this too and it works really well. I found a better way of doing it if I could just figure out how to. The site talks about mounting a Put.io folder on your PC and then adding that to Plex. This way it won't be a channel, it will be like a regular library with resume option and all the album art. Can anyone make sense of the below
