Hi all,
After teetering on the edge of 'disillusioned job-seeker' for a long time now, I finally have an actual interview. I can't tell you long it's been since my last one. :/ I've been looking for anything that applies.
The vacancy is that of a Webmaster.
I haven't done mainstream web design for a number of years now, but my personal blog and a few small personal sites and one of a Friend keeps me tinkering. I make use of stat tools at the moment, work between the various social media sites and am able to accomplish a fair number of server-related tasks.
Standards-compliant XHTML, CSS and accessibility code is my main draw, but I can dabble lightly in JS and PHP.
So I am a little nervous, due to the expired time, the lengthy periods between interviews, my long-term existence at my current employer and a host of small reasons.
They're looking for someone who can debug & troubleshoot existing issues, address issues with service providers[?], review [and presumably act upon] analytics and stats and plan for future improvements.
I'm sure that sounds more intimidating than it is.
The salary is dependant upon experience and technical expertise.
Have you got any tips for me, please, and wtF do I answer them with when they ask me about salary expectations? What's the going rate?
Thanks.
