Hi, I'm currently with Telkom, but want to swith to OpenWeb, will I see much difference being on IS bandwidth? Would you reccomend one over the other taking in mind Newservers and torrents both local and international?

SAIX is generally better for international. IS has gone down the tubes in recent months and there's also the upside of uncapped local with your TI account. I'd say stick with SAIX.

You won't notice much difference with downloading.

With web browsing, you will notice one.

This has been discussed at length, have a Search...

Well I'm not sure if local is still uncapped on SAIX or whether it's changed to the R25 per GB after you use your 10Gb local per 1GB international but I'd still say stick with SAIX.

What every happened to that pooky/hellothere thread .... the one that shows the black listing on BoB?

ic says it's blocked for privacy reasons or something like that.

Was it blocked blocked? cause they said they were considering it. However, from what I understand, there are no legal issues with it. But hey... if we myadsl wants another Person, we will get another Person.

Edit: okai, I see what he said.

It's just that IS is much cheaper, and I like the idea of OpenBrowse...

IS is the poor cousin of SAIX.

I often find I switch from my IS account, to my backup per GB SAIX one because I cannot handle the timeouts.

Your mileage may vary.

Hey with OpenWeb SAIX, do you get local bandwidth?

No I dont think so. Its allmost allways IS that offer the exstra local bandwidth. SAIX you need to buy exstra I think.
