there is about 20mhz diff between the XXX and Extreme.....depending which Extreme you get ;)

i wanted to get xxx but there's actually not that much of a difference only alot more bragging rights

and i paid just under 20k for it.... iv'e been saving for about 2 and a half years for it and it should last about 3 - 5 years before i have to upgrade again :D

Verry kewl mate! :)

One thing, I would definately have rather gone for the E6600 (could easily OC past Extreme if ya wanted to) and with the money saved, bought 2x 1GB sticks.
Just under R20k!? those parts couldn't have cost more than R15k !?! Where did you buy from? For Rjust under R20k, sure you could've gotten 7950 GX2..
That Maxtor have 16mb cache?

Sorry for picking, but I would just hate for you to have gotten screwed..

Wow, very nice. Don't know if it'll keep you happy for upto 5 years, but 2007/2008 maybe early 2009 should do.

Not too sure about X6800 though.
Like MrE said, E6600 would have been a far better buy, and that way you could have gone for a far better mobo (Asus P5W-DH) and better RAM. like the OCZ PC8000 XTC Gold (amongst th ebest sets you can get your hands on right now) or even the Corsair XMS2 8500.

320GB drive is okay, but MAXTOR!!! (I know they owend by Seagate now, but thats where all the reject parts go...)

Otherwise its a nice system.
Would have been better with a E6600 and a Radeon X1950XT though :D
